Patterson Ravens soar past Ripon Knights

The Ripon Knights junior varsity was edged by the visiting Patterson Ravens 21-14 Saturday in Trans-Valley Youth Football League action.
Ripon’s Brooks Wheatley ran for 128 yards including a 5-yard touchdown run. Jace Beidleman connected with Preston Zuidervaart from 16 yards out for the other Knights touchdown.
Wheatley (interception) and Christopher Cavasos led the Ripon defense with seven tackles each. Griffin De Abreu added six stops; Peyton Reiseck, Andrew Mensonides, Chase Bogetti and Rey Galindo four apiece; Mason Bogetti, Stanley Kensick, David Johnston and Owen Wilbur three apiece and Anden Ries two.

Cen-Cal varsity
Jr. Buffaloes 32, Bears 26 (4 OT)
Dall Kaleimamahu threw for two Manteca scores and ran for another.
Kaleimamahu was 7 of 10 passing for 102 yards with four carries for 26 yards. Dylan DePrater (four catches, 87 yards) and Joshua Martinez (one catch, 40 yards) both had a touchdown while  Daymari Cox (14 carries, 85 yards) and Francisco Ramirez (four carries, 30 yards; three receptions, 20 yards) both had a rushing touchdown.

DYFL varsity
Jr. Spartans 58, Cowboys 6
Ceres scored first but after that the game belonged to Lathrop.
Lyon Colon (nine carries, 181 yards) had touchdown runs of 6 and 50 yards, set up a 1-yard scoring plunge by Jeremiah Estante with a 55-yard run and returned one of his three interceptions 38 yards for a touchdown. Amario Valdovinos (three carries, 24 yards) scored on runs of 6 and 18 yards and Ben Ruvalcaba (two receptions, 37 yards) returned a fumble 18 yards for a score and scored on a 37-yard touchdown pass from Luis Hernandez 4 for 8 passing, 55 yards).
Ruvalcaba tallied seven tackles with a blocked punt, forced fumble and the fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Valdovinos (interception) made nine tackles, Estante five, Luis Hernandez and Josiah Pena four apiece, Noah Martinez and Eduardo Reynosa three each and Adrian Cisneros-Pena made an interception.
 
NCYF varsity
Jr. Timberwolves 20,
Colts 14
Defense carried the day for Manteca with Josh Marlin, Tim Thomas and Gustavo Delagadillo keeping Lodi out of the end zone as time expired by leading a goal-line stand at the 1-yard line.
The Jr. Timberwolves scored on a 56-yard run by Marcelo Morales, a 3-yard Luke Weaver run and a 60-yard pass from Weaver to Morales.
Morales (11 carries, 118 yards), Tim Thomas (12 carries, 78 yards) and Nikko Nunez (four carries, 27 yards) ran behind Jose Rios, Sebastian Salazar, Dominic Alvarez, Jesse Perea, Josh Marlin, Daniel Mendez and Gabriel Chatham. 

Cen-Cal JV
Bears 54, Jr. Buffaloes 7
Ricardo Villalvazo rushed for 80 yards and the only touchdown for the Jr. Buffaloes.
Manteca’s Larell Fountain rushed for 75 yards, Cassius Hill rushed for 35 yards, Colton Stonum was 3 of 6 passing for 30 yards and Hayden Keller had one catch for 10 yards.
 Cen-Cal rookies
Jr. Buffaloes vs. Bears
Madden Melendez had 100 all-purpose yards for the Jr. Buffaloes.
Melendez had six carries for 58 yards and one catch for 50 yards. De Anthony Hackett scored a touchdown behind six carries for 73 yards, Andrew Salmeron had 50 yards passing and Brody Carabello had 40 yards on four carries.
Hackett led the Manteca defense with four tackles. Carabello added four stops while Cage Woodall, Damian Costa and Eshon Jackson added three tackles each. Geno Acevedo and Andrew Salmeron each recovered a fumble.

NCYF rookies
Cowboys 39, Mustangs 0
Manteca closed out the regular season with a shutout over Mountain House.
Gabriel Flores (45 yards rushing) scored on runs of 2 and 8 yards and Bryson Davis (39 yards rushing) added scoring runs of 6 and 8 yards. Anthony Morales threw for 100 yards with a 12-yard scoring throw to Jeremy Ap’e (44 yards rushing) and one of 60 yards to Omar Diaz. Robbie Espinosa added 50 yards rushing.
Blake Mount led the Cowboys with five tackles followed by Brandyn Sena, Omar Diaz and Bryson Davis with four stops, Shane Lewis with three and Christian Rosales had an interception.
 
TVYFL jr. novice
Knights vs. Ravens
Ripon’s Anthony Alves threw to Gavin Decena for the only Knights score on an 8-yard pass.
Alex Bettencourt, Jaiden Huber, Caelan Johnston, Nate New, Dylan Parker, Wyatt Prime, Alex Rader, Andrew Riberiro, Van Hendrix, and Jesse Walker had a great game on the line on the offensive line for the Knights.
Ripon held the Ravens to one touchdown thanks to Landon Corcoran, Jax Booth, Mason Brum, Jaiden Chandar, Christian Chavez, Mason Durao, Even Gyger, Keegan Kosaka, Logan Qualls, Carmelo Rodriguez, and Kaeo Sanchez.
 
Cen-Cal peewee
Bears 26, Jr. Buffaloes 14
Gage Pfeifer had 70 yards on 15 carries for the Jr. Buffaloes.
Quinn Martinez added 60 yards on 15 carries 60 yards and Maddox Melendez made five catches 45 yards. Diego Esparza and Micah Cardoza had four tackles each.
