The 55th annual Ripon Grange Almond Blossom Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, Feb. 25, from 6 to 10 a.m., at the Grange Hall, 827 Ripona Ave., at the corner of Milgeo Avenue.  

Adults are $7.50 in advance ($8.50 at the door) while children 10 and under are $5. The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, ham, and milk/juice/coffee.

They can be purchased online on the Ripon Chamber of Commerce site at www.riponchamber.org or at the chamber office at 929 W. Main St., Ripon.

The Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, corner of Fourth Street and Orange Avenue, in Ripon, has several Almond Blossom Festival fundraisers planned for Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a bake sale specializing in Dutch pastries and long stem tulips from Dutch Hollow Farm to benefit short-term mission projects. A craft sale of masks, jewelry, flower crowns and LuLaRoe products to benefit the Friendship Club to help adults with disabilities is also planned.

The Ripon Lions Club Almond Blossom Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle is a fund raiser for many community charities.

The “all you can eat & drink” spaghetti dinner includes salad and beverages — wine, lemonade and water.  

It takes place at the Ripon Community Center, 334 4th Street.  Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $5for children 12 and under. Tickets purchased at the door are $14 and $6.  Meals are also available for take-out.  Purchase advance tickets at following locations:  Hoek Optical, 1048 W. Main St., Medeiros Barber Shop, 207 S. Locust Ave., State Farm Insurance 210 S. Stockton St., or the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, 929 W. Main St.

 

Delta Tule Trekkers

Almond Blossom walk

Delta Tule Trekkers will host a noncompetitive 5K and 10K walk during the Ripon Almond Festival. 

The walks will begin from 8 a.m.to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25,  and Sunday, Feb. 26.  The walk will be on paved, dirt and gravel trails along the Stanislaus River and over a pedestrian bridge.  Portions of the walk also tour the downtown area of Ripon 

After walking, participants can enjoy many of the Almond Festival events throughout the city.

Starting point will be the Ripon Recreation Area parking lot at the intersection of Parallel and Reynolds Avenues.  The Delta Tule Trekkers are affiliated with the American Volkssport Association and enjoy “Walking for the Health of it” with other members and friends.
