Seventy-six students from Veritas School received their eighth-grade promotion certificates last Wednesday.

The special event held in the school’s Multipurpose Room included family, friends, teachers and staff in attendance.

They were welcomed by Principal Tracie Crawford, who had the honors of presenting the classmates for the awarding of their diplomas to Cheryl Meeker, Manteca Unified’s Senior Director of Elementary Education.

In addition, teachers Wendy Ryan and Hortencia Garcia announced the Presidential Awards – Academic Achievement and Academic Excellence.

Members of the Veritas Class of 2014 consisted of Nasreen Ali, Stephanie Amaral, Tylor Axtell, Reeha Baig, Emma Brierly, Ebony Bryan, Joyceline Carrillo Hernandez, Danielle Casante, Yesenia Chacala, Arshnik Cheema, Christopher Cortez, Suneet Dhaliwal, Joaquin Duarte, Joshua Esteban, Marie Estrella, Amanie Falol, Litzy Flores Gonzalez, Brenden Flores, Hannah Franco.
