Adam Cardona calls the 2012 Chrysler 300 Limited a “smooth and quiet ride.”

Here’s part of the reason.

“While other cars of this type have five- or six- speed transmission, this one has eight speeds (with E-shifter),” explains the sale consultant of Manteca’s Cabral Chrysler Jeep Dodge Suzuki at 1145 W. Yosemite Ave.

It’s the same eight-speed transmission found in some of the high-end luxury brand cars. Try Audi, BMW, and Rolls Royce.

This 300 Limited is also powered by Chrysler’s 292-hp 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine.

As for fuel efficiency, the Chrysler five-passenger, four-door sedan is capable of getting 31 miles per gallon on the highway. Yet that number could vary, according to Cardona, based on one’s driving habits. “We’re talking anything between 25 to 37 mpg,” he noted.

The same goes for city driving. The 300 Limited has a 19 mpg rating, with the range at 15 to 23 mpg.

Standard safety features on this sedan includes antilock four-wheel disc brakes along with driver inflatable knee, seat-mounted and overhead curtain airbags. Add reactive head restraints, all-speed traction control, electronic stability control and ignition disable to that list.

Interior features include luxury leather-trimmed bucket seats, power front driver and passenger seats, heated front seats, air conditioning with dual zone auto temperature control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and tilt / telescopic steering column, to name a few.

In addition, the 300 has the U-Connect 8.4N Touch system to operate the sound and entertainment system – music, sports and news can be heard on the six premium speakers – along with the links for Bluetooth, audio jacks, and remote USB port.
