Just because Dee Lambert’s job is done as an event designer once everything wraps up, her relationship with her customers is not.

With almost two decades in the event business, Lambert – who re-opened Dynasty Event Design and Rental back in December – has made it a point to build actual relationships with the customers that employ her services.

It isn’t uncommon for her to not only get a thank you card for playing a pivotal role in a person’s wedding, engagement party, or anniversary but also Christmas and birthday cards. It is something that warms her heart and shows her that she’s doing everything she can for those who trust her with some of their most important events.

“The thing that I love the most about doing this is working with the public and the people that come in here and building relationships with the brides and their families,” Lambert said. “My kids will ask me sometimes, ‘How’s so-and-so.’ Either I adopt them or they adopt me, but a lot of the time we stay in touch. That’s what I love.”

Inside of her showroom at 220 N. Main Street, Lambert has almost a dozen tables completely decorated with place settings, decorative elements and center-pieces. It gives those who come in a glimpse of what she can do with just a table and some chairs.

And with business partnerships with an in-house wedding chapel and a floral arrangement specialist, those wishing to finalize their wedding plans don’t have to venture much farther than her downtown location.

On Friday, Jan. 28, Dynasty Event Design and Rentals is hosting their grand opening party starting at 4:30 p.m. The event will include beverages, dessert and raffle prizes. The event is open to the public. Lambert urges anybody who might be thinking about a wedding or a major event in the near future to come out and see what her boutique can do.

After all, the challenge of meeting the demand of the customers is one of the things that she looks forward to most when she comes in to work every day.

“I love seeing the finished product – the look of the entire event after we come up with the design and everything is finally in place,” she said. “When a bride or a couple come in with just a color idea and leave everything up to us. It’s that design part that I love.”
