Hope Chest Thrift Store grand opening on Friday

Manteca’s fourth thrift store - Hope Chest Thrift Store - is conducting a grand opening celebration starting Friday at 9 a.m.

The store benefiting Community Hospice is located downtown next to Kelly-Moore Paints at 208 South Main Street in the building that once housed the New Deal Market.

The 8,000-square-foot store will accommodate a large sales floor and donation center. Store departments include furniture, housewares, clothing and shoes. All sales from the Hope Chest Thrift Stores benefit the patients and families of Community Hospice.

 Grand opening weekend hours are  Friday, April 16, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ;  Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ; and Sunday, April 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Since 1979, Community Hospice has provided compassionate care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients and their families. Today, Community Hospice provides care to approximately 200 patients every day in private homes, skilled nursing facilities and in the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

There are currently six Hope Chest Thrift Stores in the Central Valley, plus the Automotive Division and Value Center located at 110 Beard Avenue in Modesto.
