Dollar general grand opening this Saturday

Dollar General, the nation’s largest discount retailer by number of stores, is opening a new store at 560 North Main Street. 

Dollar General will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, July 28, at 8 a.m.  Festivities include free samples and special deals. The first 300 shoppers will receive a tote bag filled with samples and coupons.

“Dollar General is proud to be opening one of our first California stores in Manteca,” said Jeff Durham, Dollar General district manager. “We look forward to serving customers here with a superior shopping experience that encompasses convenience, value and customer service.”

Dollar General carries cleaning supplies, paper products, select groceries, basic clothing, home décor, party supplies, baby essentials, pet products and much more.  Familiar brands such as Tide, Bounty, Coke, Jarritos, Nabisco, Mazanita Sol and others are featured alongside Dollar General’s private label brands.

Employers seek workers at today’s Stockton job fair

STOCKTON - Job hunters will find a variety of major employers eager to staff up at Stockton’s HIREvent plus expert help to improve their resume. 

It takes place today from noon to 4 p.m. at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, 110 W. Fremont St., in Stockton.
