Stockton and Honolulu on Nov. 18

STOCKTON - Allegiant is rolling out new, nonstop jet service between Stockton Metro Airport and Honolulu International Airport beginning Nov. 18.

To celebrate, the carrier will offer introductory fares to Hawaii for as low as $199 one-way, including taxes and fees. Flights and vacation packages are available for booking through Jan. 15, 2013.

“We are pleased to add Hawaii as another affordable, convenient destination option for Stockton residents,” said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President. “Our vacation packages and nonstop service to Las Vegas have been very popular with area residents. We are confident the community will appreciate the convenience of flying nonstop to Hawaii and the value of bundling their air, hotel and car rental reservation together.”

Allegiant Air will also offer nonstop flights between Honolulu and Bellingham, Wash., Eugene, Ore., and Santa Maria, Calif. The carrier will also offer nonstop flights between Maui and Bellingham.

Tuesday's announcement comes after Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. previously announced flights to Las Vegas and Fresno will begin in June.

“We are very excited to see service from Stockton to Honolulu on Allegiant come to fruition and believe this will open some eyes in the community to the service our airport is capable of providing,”  said Patrick Carreno, Stockton Metropolitan Airport Director.

The new flights will operate one time weekly between Stockton Metropolitan Airport (SCK) and Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Flight days and times can be found at allegiant.com.
