The Holly Rochelle Dance Company will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Sunday with a twist only a dancer could pull off.

Good Day Sacramento will tape a live segment from the studio at 833 Mellon Avenue, beginning during the 10 o’clock hour.

By then, the party will be well underway.

Festivities will begin in earnest Sunday morning. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. with promise of treats, prizes and dance classes.

The dance company takes its cues from owner and instructor Holly Quesada, an award-winning choreographer and member of Dance Masters of California.

Quesada specializes in jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, lyrical and acrobatics. She has been teaching students for more than 25 years, and her influence canvasses the Bay Area and Central Valley.

She is a recipient of the Kids Artistic Review’s  Peoples Choice Award and the Solo Title Scholarship Competition Director, a 127-year-old national organization.
