Rooster Juice Bat reopens

Most people were excited when they heard that another big box retailer was coming to the Marketplace shopping complex.

But for Rob and Suzanne Forsberg, that arrival meant that their business – the unique Rooster Juice Bar and Grill which was attached to the building being overhauled – was soon without water or power.

After six months and rounds of negotiations with the landlord, the couple has finally reopened in the same spot – employing a new staff to serve the steady stream of regular customers that have been flowing through the doors since they heard about the soft opening last week.

Seeing so many smiling faces is exactly what an optimistic Forsberg wanted to see.

“What’s been meaningful is that we’ve received a lot of community support that has helped us rebuild and push forward with reopening,” she said. “The first day that we opened the doors our customers came back in droves. We had our biggest day so far, and that was great to see.”

The site will host their official re-grand opening on Friday, Nov. 30.

And the things that helped set the site apart from other night spots in town will soon start-up once again.

The karaoke and live music that were staples on Friday and Saturday nights are still going to be part of the regular program, and free fajitas will be available for customers to come in and watch the game on Monday nights.

Rooster Juice is located at 1325 Yosemite Avenue, and is open Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday and Monday from 4 to 10 p.m. For additional information call the Rooster Phone at (209) 665-4414.
