U-Haul adding climate-controlled self-storage to its Manteca center

U-Haul Company of West Sacramento has made new additions to the U-Haul Center of Manteca. 

Although this facility has been renting equipment since 2013, this U-Haul store has made substantial improvements to the building and will be adding climate-controlled, self-storage to its list of services in the coming months. 

Acquired by U-Haul Company in 2012, the former Manteca Auto Plaza is located at 1190 South Main Street at the 120 Bypass. The facility features a 32,031-square-foot building situated on 4.18 acres. The marketing company offices for U-Haul Company of West Sacramento are also located inside this facility.

“The opening of this facility brings an established business to the city of Manteca,” explained Chris Trudell, marketing company president of U-Haul Company of West Sacramento. “We have already received positive feedback regarding our presence and look forward to building a strong relationship with residents in the area. With the addition of self-storage, we will be able to better serve the needs of the community.”

The acquisition of U-Haul Center of Manteca was driven by U-Haul Company’s Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Their adaptive reuse of existing buildings eliminates the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps local cities diminish their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
