Every year Manteca plays host to the largest Memorial Day Celebration of its kind on the West Coast. Pastor Mike Dillman, of the Place of Refuge Church, and hundreds upon hundreds of volunteers are preparing to make this year’s event even larger!

“When I used to think of Memorial Day I thought of going to the lake or to a BBQ, you know a three-day weekend. As I have gotten older I finally realize that Memorial Day is really an opportunity to honor the men and women who wear the uniform and have made sacrifices for the freedoms that we enjoy every day,” Waterford said.

Pastor Mike Dillman and our community’s love and passion make sure that NONE of our veterans and our fallen are forgotten. However, it is going to take many organizations and companies to raise enough money to cover the $60,000 budget. The Place of Refuge Church and the volunteer team provide concessions, host services, and manpower needed to put on such a tremendous salute.

This year Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford & Exotic High Line has decided to raffle off not one but TWO Ford Fiestas at the Not Forgotten Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 27th, at Woodward Park.

“Car Raffle Fundraiser” has begun! Tickets are $100 and only 250 tickets will be sold for each Ford Fiesta. You can purchase a ticket by calling Manteca Ford at (209) 239-3561 or you can come by the dealership office at 555 N. Main Street, Manteca. All proceeds will go towards our Memorial Day Weekend event “Not Forgotten”.

Manteca Ford and its staff want to do their part by honoring all who served and remembering all who have fallen by making this event educational and inspirational for all that are able to attend and celebrate our freedom.
