TRACY – The Nissan Juke has a distinct overall style.
From the outside, the engine hood of this sports cross vehicle was been described in one publication as “multi-eyed face.” It also has huge wheel housings, sloped roof, and pinched tail.
The Juke, with a large wheelbase and torque vectoring AWB, rides smoothly but handles like a sports car, particularly around the turns.
The 2011 model is available at Tracy Nissan, 3195 Naglee Road.
The Juke is equipped with a direct injected 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, cranking out about 188 horsepower while claiming fuel efficiency of an estimated 27 mpg on the city streets and 33 mpg on the highway.
Inside, the Juke has its signature motorcycle gas tank-inspired center console surrounded by a pair of comfortable bucket seats, cruising to surround sound system equipped with AM/FM radio, CD, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The navigation system along with XM Satellite radio is among the extras.
As for safety, the Juke has four-wheel ABS; front and rear head airbags; dual front side-mount airbags; passenger airbag, occupant-sensing deactivation; driver and passenger head restraint whiplash protection system; and tire pressure monitoring, to name a few.
The Juke, in addition, was awarded with a 2011 “Top Safety Pick” rating by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
