Folks are Kia Country are excited about the newly redesigned Kia Sorrento.

The 2014 models just arrived at the Manteca dealership located at 1515 N. Main St., boasting state-of-the-art technology and comfort.

Take the SX Limited model consisting of the optional panoramic sunroof that almost makes for a convertible, for starters.

 This five-seat crossover has Nappa leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and wood-trimmed heated steering wheel.

Technology bursts from the inside where this Sorrento has standard Bluetooth, Satellite radio, and an upgraded Infotainment on the eight-inch touch screen.

Kia put LED combination tail lamps and redesigned the wheels on the Sorrento – try 19-inch chrome alloy wheels with red-painted caliper brakes as seen on the ebony black model in the Kia Country showroom.

Under the hood is a fuel efficient 3.3-liter dual overhead cam V-6 engine with 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. Couple that with the 6-speed auto transmission with the Kia Sportsmatic and independent front and rear suspension.

Based on one’s driving habits, the Sorrento is capable of 18 miles per gallon, city, and 25 mpg, highway.

As for safety, the SX Limited has dual front advance airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, side curtain airbags, front active headrest, anti lock brakes, traction control, electronic stability, hill-start assist control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

This Kia crossover also comes with dual zone climate control, ventilated heat front seats, 40/20/40 split-folding seats, push button start with Smart Key, power lift gate and blind spot detection, to name a few.
