While it still boasts a new body style and an engine upgrade that are typical of standard redesigns, the Dodge Ram takes the concept of coming out with something new to a whole new level.

A completely new interior cargo system that allows for storage of everything from your laptop computer to your road-trip beverages is only the start of a bumper-to-bumper overhaul that culminates with the launch of the RamBox – a built-in truck bed cargo box that can do everything from carry your golf clubs to double over as an ice chest.

Throw in the locking tailgate that incorporates a built-in spoiler and a movable cargo lock system for the bed and it’s easy to see why the Ram is racking up awards and winning contests like the Car and Driver Truck Shootout.

“What they did is that all of the good ideas that are out there and incorporated them into one vehicle,” said Cabral Chrysler Jeep Dodge Sales Associate Marty Steves. “On top of the body style and the new HEMI engine that gets the best gas mileage of any of the HEMI motors that were featured in the trucks so far, the things like the dual glove box and the in-floor storage boxes add another dimension to an already great truck.”

The innovative concepts only enhance features like the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine that boasts 390-horsepower while still maintaining the best fuel economy in its class – thanks to systems like the multi-displacement system that deactivates half of the engines cylinders when not needed and the new variable cam timing that delivers additional torque and efficiency.

When stacked up against rival models, the Dodge Ram has carried itself well in categories such as ride quality, acceleration with and without a payload, and overall fuel economy.

Other new features include standard dual tow plugs that are already built in to the back bumper, and dual exhaust that is already positioned within the bumper behind the truck.

“We had a great month here last month, and models like the Dodge Ram are a big reason for that,” Steves said. “Customers really like the enhanced features, and when you have a reputation for quality that you can build on with that you’re only going to attract more buyers.”

Rebates and financing offers are currently available for the all-new Dodge Ram.
