STOCKTON – In today’s economy, everybody is looking to save a little bit of money.

But that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice the comforts that were most people previously took for granted – like a quality car in the driveway and a factory-issued warranty that only expands your piece-of-mind every time you climb behind the wheel.

Even though they might be recognizable as the biggest rental car agency in the nation, the Hertz Corporation has to do something with each and every one of the cars in their fleet that make it past the one-year mark – the date when they’re officially put out to pasture.

And that means big savings for your pocketbook.

“The biggest difference between buying a new car and a car from us is that you’re saving that depreciation while at the same time getting a quality car – all of which are still under their factor warranty,” said Hertz Car Sales Stockton Sales Manager John Enea. “It’s really a wise choice for people who are looking for value.”

And being the world’s largest car rental dealer definitely has its perks.

Not a single car in the Hertz fleet remains operational for longer than a year, and all that have exceeded their tenure are sent to a sales facility where they are inspected for everything from mechanical problems to obvious dings and dents.

Those that don’t pass the inspection, Enea said, are unloaded through other channels – meaning that only the cream of the crop ends up on a Hertz Car Sales lot.

While the used car market is alive and well in the Central Valley, Hertz’ Stockton site is the only one of its kind in the area between here and Riverside – often drawing customers from great distances who appreciate not only the value but the wide selection of like new models.

“People from all over recognize the value that these cars provide,” Enea said. “And if somebody wants something that we don’t have on our lot but we have it at another location we’re able to get those cars here for those customers.”

Hertz Car Sales is located at 3646 Telestar Place Spot C off of Stockton’s Hammer Lane. To get there from Manteca, take Highway 99 North to the Hammer Lane exit and head west before eventually turning left on Sampson Road and following the road the corner. The entrance to the site is on the left. The site is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
