CALVARY COMMUNITY
: This Sunday at Calvary we continue the study on the book of Matthew with “Christ’s Alive – So What?” using scripture references from Matthew 28.

Everyone is welcome to join us every Thursday to Pray 4 Manteca. This weekly prayer group open to anyone. It’s held each Thursday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in Modular Room 401. Its duration is one hour but is also designed for those who may only be able to stay for ten minutes. It gives people an opportunity to stop and call on God for the challenges they face in their respective areas of life and work.

THE PLACE OF REFUGE: We’re getting ready for an eventful Sunday at The Place of Refuge. Special guests Amber Brooks and David Vallier will be leading worship at 10 a.m. you don’t want to miss this. Find encouragement in Pastor Brian Compton’s message, “ Joseph, Heroic Loyalty.” Stay after service for the 1st Annual Place of Refuge Chili Cook-Off and Dessert Bake-Off. NEW LIFE LATHROP
: Come join New Life Lathrop this Sunday for a time of worship and fellowship. We would love for you to be a part of this exciting time with us as our church family is growing and new ministries are flourishing. This Sunday join us for a great message by Pastor Troy, we will be located at 107 D’Arcy Parkway here in Lathrop, and service will be starting at 10 a.m. Youth Group for junior high through college age is being held on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m., also being hosted in our new building, followed by a time of fellowship and fun. Currently we are participating in operation Christmas Child, collecting boxes full of gifts for children around the world. UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, Nov. 20, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. Communion will be served at both services. This Sunday’s sermon title is “A Time of Fear and Anxiety.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. 33nd Annual German Advent Service in Manteca

United Lutheran Church will hold the traditional German Advent Service on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. This marks the 33rd year for this event. It is a celebration of the Advent season with the service and music entirely in the German language. Pastor Krey of Oakland will lead the worship and the Heimat Choir from Stockton will sing traditional German Christmas carols. And following the worship service there will be a reception for everyone in the church social hall with special German treats and beverages.
