NEW LIFE LATHROP: Come join us at New Life Lathrop as we are in full swing for the New Year! Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to get back into shape? Come run with us this Saturday, January 14, as we start training for New Life’s 5K run! We are hosting the run in an effort to raise money to free women and children from sex slavery around the world, including right here in the U.S. We will be training together twice a month to keep each other encouraged along the way. So get back in shape, have some fun, and help us raise money for a worthy cause. Youth Group is still Tuesday night at the church from 6:30 to 8 p.m., a great time of worship, fellowship, and fun games. PRESBYTERIAN: All are welcome to Manteca Presbyterian Church this Sunday for our 10 a.m. worship service. Anne Talcott will lead the Praise Team in our opening songs. UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, January 15, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. Communion will be served at both services. Everyone is welcome to join us every Thursday to Pray 4 Manteca. This weekly prayer group is open to the community. It’s held each Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. in Modular Room 401. Its duration is one hour but is also designed for those who may only be able to stay for ten minutes.

PLACE OF REFUGE: Join us at 486 Button Avenue, tomorrow at 10 a.m. for a great time at The Place of Refuge. Bring the whole family, there’s something for everyone. Our Sunday service features modern, exciting worship. 2012 is shaping up to be a politically charged year: Pastor Dillman brings fresh Biblical perspective to facing the storms of life. Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade can have fun while learning more about the Bible and making good choices in “The Workshop.” Kids Ministries, nursery care and preschool classes are available as well. This Tuesday at 6 p.m. is the Women’s Bible Study home group, and this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. is Family Night, with AWANA for kids 2 years old through 5th grade, Collide Network for junior high and high school, Men’s Bible Study, Spanish Bible Study, and Young Couples, Home Group. Next Saturday Jan. 21, don’t miss the Stockton Thunder vs. Las Vegas Wranglers hockey game at the Stockton Arena; we will leave from the church at 6 p.m. on Saturday. CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY: Pastor Scott will begin a new sermon series called, “What Are You Afraid Of? Living by Faith in 2012.” Fear is the number one reason we won’t take that big step of faith.
