UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, October 25, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/ or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This week’s sermon will be “Faith Alone.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Wednesday nights we have dollar dinners at 5:45 p.m. followed by a Divine Worship service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. CALVARY COMMUNITY: Please join us this Sunday for our continuing series, “Looking in the Mirror: What Do We Do?” with Part 10, “We Are Proactive.” This message from Ephesians: 6:17-18 captures the theme of putting on the armor of God and understanding the spiritual weapons we have available for use against the enemy.

Calvary offers four Sunday services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs running at parallel times. Sign language is offered at the 9:45 a.m. service at the front left side of the Worship Center.

JOURNEY CHURCH
: Invites the community to a great day of celebrative worship with our Worship Team, inspiring preaching by Pastor Freeman Hodgins. His sermon is entitled, You Can Overcome Disappointment, taken from Haggai. This begins at 10 a.m. and Sunday School is at 9 a.m.
For those who speak Spanish, our Spanish congregation meets at 1 p.m. with Pastor Alfredo. Uplifting music, great teaching and Sunday School classes for the children. The entire service is in Spanish.

Ladies Group, Love is a Choice meets on Mondays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Al-Anon meets from 12 to 1 p.m. Each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. we have Mid Week Bible Study for adults, Trail Blazers for 7th grade - Senior High and Journey Kids for ages 1st grade - 6th grade.

On Tuesday, October 27 beginning with a Pot Luck style dinner at 6 p.m., we are hosting Global Missionaries, Don and Cheryl Cox who are currently serving in the Jesus Film Harvest. They will speak at 7 p.m.

On October 31 beginning at 6 p.m. it is our Annual Trunk ‘N Treat. The community children are invited to come through our parking lot at the church and receive goodies from the trunks of the congregation’s cars. We will have hot chocolate and coffee for the moms and dads who need a “pick-me-up” after all that walking. This is a free event.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST: Will worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street. This Sunday, Pastor Brandon Austin will be preaching a sermon titled “Goldilocks Goes to Church” using Revelation 4:14-22. Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided in a well-equipped room during the worship services. At 9 a.m. there are classes for all ages.

After morning worship and Coffee Fellowship there will be a New Member Orientation class with Pastor Brandon from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Anyone is welcome to attend who wishes to join the church or re-affirm their faith.

Sunday afternoons through November 8 from 4:40 to 6 p.m. Salsa Dance lessons are being held in the church Fellowship Hall taught by Pastor Brandon Austin. All adults 18 and over are welcome to join us with or without a dance partner. A donation of $5 per lesson is appreciated. Please wear shoes with non-grip soles and tie-up laces.

Our mid-week Wednesday Nite Lite begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck meal. At 6:30 we begin worship with singing, scripture, a message and prayer led by Pastor Brandon Austin followed by faith building and interactive learning at 7 p.m.

FIRST BAPTIST
: We invite you to com visit us Sunday. During our 10:30 a.m. Worship Service a representative of the Gideons will be sharing about their ministry. Pastor Theo Pope will bring the message. Our Sundays begin with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and there are a variety of classes. Pastor David Halla has a Sunday School class titled, “The World of Error.” We have childcare for infants through 5 years old. One of our Bible studies is on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Keenager classroom (studying the Baptist Faith and Message.)

Children, you are invited to come to our Bible Land Festival (alternative to Halloween) on Saturday, October 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme this year is “The Life of Jesus.” There will be game booths, a bounce house, Bible stories, food, etc. There is no charge for admission. If you would like food there is a suggested donation of $2 (hot dogs, nachos, pumpkin pie cake, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider.) There will be water, coffee and punch available for everyone. This is for toddlers to children in 6th grade. Younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult.

Our College/ Career Class meet at 6 p.m. for a meal and then have Bible study. The adults are studying the book of Revelation on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Saturdays at 9 a.m. is when the men meet for Prayer. On the 3rd Saturday of the month, the men meet at 7:30 p.m. for a Men’s Breakfast and Bible study. Call the church office for the locations. We welcome you to join us for our Bible studies and prayer time.

The food and clothing ministry is on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. (after our morning service.) If you are in need of food and/ or clothing, please call the church to make an appointment.

The “Blackwood Gospel Quartet” is coming to our church on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. If you like Southern Gospel Music, you will enjoy them. More information will be available soon.
