• HANDEL’S MESSIAH PERFORMANCE: The Ripon Oratorio Society will be celebrating the Christmas season with the 64th presentation of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 4th & Orange Streets in Ripon.

Child care will be available during the performance on Dec. 6. An offering will be taken.

• PRESBYTERIAN: Please join Manteca Presbyterian Church this Sunday at 10 a.m. for Pastor Dave Warner’s sermon “The Angel’s Message of Promise.” Music Minister Anne Talcott will be leading the Praise Team at the beginning of the service as well as directing the choir in the anthem, “Comfort Ye” and Bell Choir in “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.” We would like to invite you to stay and join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. You and your family are invited to come and see our community choir perform on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend. • UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, Dec. 6, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. Communion will be served at both services. This week’s sermon will be “A Merry Large Christmas.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Wednesday nights we have dollar dinners at 5:45 p.m. followed by a Divine Worship service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Sunday school, youth activities and Bible studies are at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. • CALVARY COMMUNITY: Please join us this Sunday as we continue an exciting message series with Part 4 of “Deceived.” “The Truth About Change” addresses the lie “we should be able to change immediately.” The truth is “change normally involves a process.”

Calvary offers four Sunday services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs running at parallel times. Sign language is offered at the 9:45 a.m. service at the front left side of the Worship Center.

• ST. PAUL’S METHODIST
: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will worship this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street. This Sunday retired Senior Pastor Gary Putnam of Central United Methodist Church in Stockton will be preaching a sermon titled “Come Before Winter” using II Timothy 4:9 - 22. Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided in a well-equipped room during the worship services. At 9 a.m. there are classes for all ages.

Following our morning worship we will be holding our Annual Charge Conference Meeting in the church Fellowship Hall.

Our mid-week Wednesday Nite Lite begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck meal.  At 6:30 we begin worship with singing, scripture, a message and prayer led by Pastor Brandon Austin followed by Faith Building and Interactive Learning at 7 p.m.
