PRESBYTERIAN: Please join Manteca Presbyterian Church this Sunday at 10 a.m. for Pastor Wendy Warner’s sermon “What Log?” Music Minister Anne Talcott will be leading the Praise Team at the beginning of the service as well as directing the choir in the anthem. “ This Little Light of Mine.” We would like to invite you to stay and join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. CALVARY COMMUNITY: This Sunday at Calvary Pastor Dan Angove will continue his message series One (No Longer a Slave) with Part 3, “ Godly Attitudes.” Sermon references are from Philemon 13-16. Please join us as we are encouraged by God’s word and fellowship together.

Calvary offers three Sunday services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs running at parallel times.

FIRST BAPTIST: Pastor Theo Pope will bring the message Sunday, January 24 during our 10:30 a.m. morning worship service. We invite you to join us. Our Sundays begin with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and there are a variety of classes. Pastor David Halla has a Sunday School class titled, “The World of Error.” We have childcare for infants through 4 years old. After the service, those who would like to discuss the church’s By-Laws are invited to meet in the fellowship hall. Another Bible study will begin Sunday, February 7, at 5 in the Keenager classroom. We will be studying about Christian History. We invite you to join us.

Our College/Career Class meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays for a meal and then have Bible study. The adults are studying the book of Revelation on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Saturdays at 9 a.m. is when the men meet for prayer. On the 3rd Saturday of the month, the men meet at 7:30 a.m. for a Men’s Breakfast and Bible study. Call the church office for the locations. We welcome you to join us for our Bible studies and prayer time.

The food ministry is on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. (after our morning service.) If you are in need of food, please call the church to make an appointment.

The Southern Baptist Convention “Call to Prayer Day” is on Sunday, January 31. During our Morning Worship Service, time will be allotted for this special prayer and we will also have a time that Sunday to meet for prayer at 5 p.m. in the Keenager classroom. This prayer is for all Southern Baptists (corporately or individually) to pray or a revival in SBC. There are many decisions being made including: the GCRT, GPS, Across North American, search committees for three SBC agencies, etc. We need God’s direction.

“Hearts of Joy” is the theme of this year’s banquet on Saturday, February 13 at 5 p.m. in our Fellowship. If you want to attend, sign up on the sign up sheet in each foyer or call Lynn Driver at 823-1781. The cost is $11 per adult and $5.50 per child (12 and under.) The number of people that will be attending and money needs to be turned in by Sunday, January 31. The caterer needs to know how many will be attending by the first part of February.
