PRESBYTERIAN: All are welcome this Sunday at Manteca Presbyterian Church for our 10 a.m. worship service. This Sunday we will be celebrating Pentecost! (What’s that? Come and find out!) People are encouraged to wear red or orange. Anne Talcott will lead our praise team in our opening music. Our Choir is going to sing “Come, Holy Spirit.” Then Pastor Wendy will preach about “Who Lives Inside?” We hope she can pull that off. Then we are all going over to the Fellowship Hall for refreshments. Come join us for some yummy fun. The church is located at 275 North Main Street. For further information call us at 239-3159.

UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, May 23, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/ or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday’s sermon title is “Overcoming Tribulation.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. On Wednesday nights we have Divine Worship service at 6:30 p.m. followed by Bible study. Everyone is welcome. CALVARY COMMUNITY

Calvary offers three Sunday services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs at parallel times. Easily accessible from any direction in the valley (from Interstate 5 or Highway 99, Lathrop Road exits), Calvary is located at 815 West Lathrop Road. FIRST BAPTIST: You are invited to join us Sunday. Our Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and our Morning Worship Service is at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Theo Pope will bring the message during our service. We have child care for infants through 4 years old. At 5 p.m. Pastor Theo Pope has a Bible study titled “Christian History Made Easy.”

On Saturday, May 22, 8 a.m. - 12 noon, our church is having a “Car Wash” to help children attend Church Camp in July. It takes place at the Beacon Station on the corner of E. Yosemite and Northwoods. Vacation Bible School will be Monday, June 21 - Friday, June 25 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The theme this year is, “Saddle Ridge Ranch,” and is for children in 1st Grade through leaving 6th Grade.

Other Bible studies are: The College/Career Class meets on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, the adults meet at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, then on Saturdays at 9 a.m. the men meet for Prayer. On the 3rd Saturday of the month, the men meet at 7:30 a.m. for a Men’s Breakfast and Bible study. Call the church office for the locations.

The food ministry is only on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. (after our morning service) and you must make an appointment. Please call the church office early in the week to schedule an appointment.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street. This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and St. Paul’s United Methodist Women will be leading worship and Reverend Mariellen Sawada-Yoshino will be preaching.  We will also be recognizing all of our graduates and presenting our third-graders with bibles during worship.  

Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided during the worship services.  At 9 a.m. there are classes for all ages.  

Our mid-week Wednesday Nite Lite service begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck meal.   At 6:30 we begin worship with singing, scripture, a message and prayer led by Pastor Brandon Austin followed by Faith Building and Interactive Learning at 7 p.m.
