ST. ANTHONY’S  CATHOLIC: St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Delta Blood Bank are hosting a blood drive on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church at 525 E. North Street. For more information or to make an appointment please contact Bob Pico at (209) 481-5005.

CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY: We are now offering two services on Sunday morning, 9 and 10:45 a.m. Both services will feature identical contemporary worship and an inspiring message. Pastor Scott will be continuing his sermon series call “Snapshots of the Savior.” This week’s message is called “Rabbi.” We are also having our Spring Ministry Faire which highlights all of our classes and groups. Come check us out. A tri-tip lunch is available after our 10:45 a.m. service. Cornerstone Kid’s church, nursery and preschool are available during both service times. UNITED LUTHERAN
: Join us Sunday, April 3, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/ or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. Communion will be served at both services. This Sunday’s sermon title is “Scorning the Cross.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. On Wednesday night we have a Lent Divine Worship Service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Local church hosts VBS: Panda Mania Training Event: An upcoming vacation Bible School training and networking event called VBS U is being hosted at United Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 9. Area churches that are planning to present Group Publishing’s Panda Mania VBS this summer will receive hands-on training from a Group VBS expert to maximize the impact of their VBS program. In addition to tons of fun and helpful info, participates can network and share ideas.

All advances registration will happen either online at groupvbsu.com or by phone at 800-447-1070. Registrants will pay the $18 (registration fee per participant) directly to Group Publishing. Participants who did not register in advance will need to fill out the walk-in registration on day of event and write a check for $25 (registration fee per participant) payable to Group Publishing.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 9 a.m. to 12 noon at United Lutheran Church, 649 Northgate Drive, Manteca.
