Cornerstone Community Church: Join us this Easter Sunday for a powerful illustrated message called “The Red Road.” Pastor Scott Hoag, along with Pastor Travis Martin and Pastor Ed Morgan will trace God’s road map for the atonement of mankind from the beginning to the cross of Christ. We will also be featuring award-winning artist Shirley Brocchini. Cornerstone Kid’s church will have a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt as well as a dramatic Easter presentation. Manteca Presbyterian Church: All are invited to join us this Sunday at Manteca Presbyterian Church for the 10 a.m. Easter celebration worship service. Anne Talcott will lead our praise team and choir in special music for Easter and our bell choir will also add to the celebration. A short Easter drama message will also be presented and Pastor Wendy Warner will deliver the Easter message. Worship is always followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. United Lutheran Church: Join us Sunday, April 24 on Easter Sunday for the traditional service at 6 or 8 a.m. and/or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. Communion will be serviced at all three services. This Sunday’s sermon title is “My Redeemer Lives.” Nursery care is available for children six-months to six-years-old. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. On Wednesdays we have a Divine Communion worship service at 6:30 p.m., and everyone is welcome. Our Lady of Fatima Filipino American Prayer Group
: The Our Lady of Fatima Filipino American Prayer Group invites you to their 17th annual May Festival. The festival is held in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the church of the same name, located at 505 Granger Avenue in Modesto. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 7 beginning with a procession in front of the church at 10:30 a.m. followed by a crowning of a statue of the Blessed Virgin with flowers and a mass at 11 a.m. A free lunch of Filipino food will follow in the church hall thereafter with raffles and entertainment.

Calvary Community Church at 815 W. Lathrop Road, Manteca, is inviting the public to attend this weekend’s Easter service.

Three worship services are planned, including one today at 6 p.m. and two on Sunday morning at 9 o’clock and 10:30.

The Easter services will also consist of inspiring music and video testimonies of people who have been impacted by Christianity.

The church will also have “Pray 4 Manteca,” which is a weekly prayer group that meets on Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. in Modular Room 401.

“Its duration is one hour but is also designed for those who may only be able to stay for 10 minutes. It gives people an opportunity to stop and call on God for the challenges they face in their respective areas of life and work,” according to church officials.

Calvary Community Church is easily accessible from any direction of the valley, from Interstate 5 or Highway 99 via the Lathrop Road exits.
