PRESBYTERIAN: All are welcome this Sunday at Manteca Presbyterian Church for the 10 a.m. worship service. Anne Talcott will lead the Praise Team and direct the choir in our opening songs. Come hear Pastor Wendy Warner’s sermon titled, “Rejoice – Really!” One wonders what she is going to say about this because it’s really hard to do in times like these. UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, October 9, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday’s sermon title is “Memory Lapses.” Our annual church picnic will follow our 10:30 a.m. service. Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. On Wednesdays we have a Divine Communion Worship Service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. CALVARY COMMUNITY:  This Sunday at Calvary we continue the study on the book of Matthew with “The Judgment” using scripture references from Matthew 25:30-46.

Everyone is welcome to join us every Thursday to Pray 4 Manteca. This weekly prayer group is open to anyone. It’s held each Thursday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in Modular Room 401. Its duration is one hour but is also designed for those who may only be able to stay for ten minutes. It gives people an opportunity to stop and call on God for the challenges they face in their respective areas of life and work.

PLACE OF REFUGE: This week will be full of opportunities to get involved at The Place of Refuge. This Sunday at 10 a.m. we will meet at 486 Button Ave. for a dynamic time of corporate worship. Come a few minutes early and enjoy a drink from HeBrews Café. Don’t miss this important time together, as Pastor Mike continues speaking on “Finding Your Gift for Service.” Bring the whole family, we offer nursery and preschool classes, as well as Merge Kids’ Ministries for children in 1st through 6th grade. This Wednesday at 10 a.m. is World Changers Ladies’ Prayer, jin with us to pray for our city, our nation, and the world. Wednesday evening is Family Night with Awana for children 2 years to 6th grade. Collide Network for junior high and high school students and HonorBound men’s Bible study. The Spanish ministry is excited to be offering Spanish-language leadership classes during Family Night as well. Nursery care for children under 2 years is provided for all Wednesday evening activities. The Young at Heart Bible study, a new opportunity specifically for people age 55 and over to learn more of God’s word in a friendly small group setting, will meet here at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning. NEW LIFE LATHROP: Come join New Life Lathrop this Sunday for a time of worship and fellowship. We would love for you to be a part of this exciting time with us as our church family is growing and new ministries are flourishing. Sunday morning service is held at the Lathrop Senior Center at 15707 5th street, starting at 10am. Youth group for jr. high through college age is being held on Tuesday nights at 6pm at Joseph Widmer school, followed by a time of fellowship at Baskin Robins for $1 scoop night! On October 24, New Life is hosting a gold, platinum, and silver party with American Gold Parties. You can come sell all of your unwanted gold, platinum and silver; you walk away with money in your pocket, and 15% of what is purchased is donated to the church for our re-location fund. A win win! Also, on November 6, Mountain Mikes Pizza in Lathrop will be donating 15% of all lunch time sales towards the New Life re-location effort.
