TRACY – Willie Nelson & Family Live in Concert kicks off the sixth Presenting Season at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts.

The legendary country music singer-songwriter, as well as author, poet, actor, and activist, has become one of the most recognized artists in country music. On Sept. 11-12, the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in historic downtown Tracy will host the legend and his family as they perform in concert. Tickets for this event and the entire 2012-13 season will go on sale to the public on Monday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. Season subscribers will have pre-sale opportunities on Monday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m.

Following Willie Nelson’s grand kick off is a star-powered Broadway series, a frightening haunted house, and a brand new vaudeville festival packed with family-friendly activities and variety shows.

The Season will continue to feature the popular Classic Rock Concerts and Friday Night Jazz series. Also returning this year is Cinematic Treasures series and the highly demanded repeat of the “Rocky Horror” show. Added is an all-new Friday Night Coffeehouse series exploring other genres in an open mic setting. Throughout the Season there will be added programming that will complement the Arts Education program and Galleries.

This Season the Grand introduces the “As Grand As Me” campaign. This campaign celebrates what makes the facility and programming so special  - the patrons. Whether it is seeing a show, taking an art class or music lesson, visiting the art galleries or participating on the stage, the Patrons are what make the Grand special. With that in mind, the Grand is offering a customizable season subscription. There is no membership fee. Patrons just need to purchase tickets to four main stage events and/or series to become a season subscriber. In celebration of their patronage, they will receive a 15% discount on those four events/series plus any additional Season purchases, free ticket exchanges, invitations to participate in meet-and-greets and VIP pre-show events (not available at all events) and pre-sale options on any exclusive events over the next year including Willie Nelson tickets.
