In a small community like Turlock, parks play a large role and provide an outdoor meeting ground for families, friends and even work gatherings.

One park that has played an integral role in Turlock’s landscape is Donnelly Park. With  a recognizable large pond where many children enjoy feeding the ducks and birds, Donnelly Park offers a range of activities. With covered picnic areas, basketball courts, large grassy space, onsite restrooms and interior parking, Donnelly Park is a go-to outdoor space for locals.

“The parks are a vital part of the community and a part of what helps to make a community. At Donnelly Park, we get a lot of people who come to enjoy its many offerings,” said Eric Shultz, superintendent of Parks, Recreation and Facilities for the City of Turlock.

The 40-acre park that covers one square mile was founded in 1974 and continues to be a signature of Turlock’s park scene. Facilities can be rented for personal use and for more information access
