2 facing sex charges involving minors post bail

Two of the three men charged with inducing minors to be part of a sex ring in Manteca – all jailed under $353,000 bail — have been released from custody after their arrest.
Jose Luis Mendoza, 36, and Matthew Alan Avants, 48, were charged with allegedly contacting underage teens to solicit their engaging in sexual offenses.  Mendoza was also charged with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in the course of his duties in the multi-agency Friday night raid, Manteca Police said. 
Still in custody in county jail is Markjayson Basamot Quimoyog, 31, who is being charged with sending harmful matter with the intent to seduce a minor and for contacting a minor for sexual offenses along with arranging to meet a minor for lewd purposes. 
Detectives from the Manteca Police Department conducted the enforcement operation, attempting to quell human trafficking in Manteca.  The primary goals of the operation were to rescue young victims of human trafficking and to arrest sexual predators targeting minors.
It was a joint operation with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security, Victim Witness and the Women’s Center, Youth and Family Services.
A total of 18 subjects – most from outside the county – were arrested in the operation for a variety of offenses.  Chasidy Joel Laurenson, 23, was the only one from Manteca.  Some of the charges were offenses related to prostitution.  Three were for feloniously contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense.  Those three subjects were booked at the San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges.  Four other subjects were arrested and booked for outstanding warrants.  
Others detained Friday night on lesser charges included Tyisa Jamara Brown, 19, for disorderly conduct and prostitution; Alexa Shay Finley, 28, disorderly conduct and prostitution; Daniel Epifanio Sanchez, 20, assisting prostitution; Ronald William Dumas, 28, assisting prostitution; Chasidy Jonel Laurenson, 23, disorderly conduct, prostitution; Jade Talea Joyce Goulet, 18, disorderly conduct, prostitution; Desiree Diane Richards, 25, disorderly conduct, prostitution; Philicia Monee Jeanette Bailey, 25, disorderly conduct, prostitution; Alex Berry, 24, disorderly conduct, prostitution; Jaqwan Kyreece Anthony Johnson, 21, assisting prostitution and Brandi Lynn Arwood, 29, disorderly conduct and prostitution.
Manteca Police Department detectives have previously assisted the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office in similar operations outside the city.  Manteca detectives have been actively investigating activities associated with human trafficking.  Sgt. Michael Aguilar said his department will continue its intervention and enforcement against human trafficking,
