2ND GRADERS VISIT FIRE STATION
P1010025a
Station 242 was visited on Monday by 35 Brock Elliot School second graders from Ms. Acosta’s class.  They were full of energy and interesting questions.  Captain Breitenbucher, Engineer McLeod, and Firefighter Avant took out all the stops for these kids.  Along the tour these 35 lucky second graders were able to learn all about Truck 24 and Engine 242.  They were able to see a little about fire station life with a tour of the inside of the station as well as meet our new Fire Marshall Lantz Rey.  After the tour of the station and apparatus came the highlight of their day as they all got the chance to squirt water from a real fire hose.  One of the kids did ask “ Is this a real fire hose? “
