The 32nd edition of the Manteca Pumpkin Fair kicks off next week when the carnival starts a five-day run in the JC Penney parking lot in The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley at the 120 Bypass and Union Road.

Those who buy tickets in advance can save significantly providing they obtain ticket books by Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 4 p.m. The cost is $20 for a book of 30

The book — if left intact — can also be traded in for an all-day ride wristband for one person.

Advance ticket sales are available at the Visitors Center on Grove Street near the fountain in the Orchard Valley complex, Golden Valley Federal Credit Union across from Verizon on Center Street, Give Every Child a Chance on Commerce Court at 322 Sun West Place, and Road Runner Glass in the 200 block of North Main Street.

The carnival hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Sept. 30-Oct. 2) from 4 to 10 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday (Oct.3-4) from noon to 10 p.m.

The two-day Pumpkin Fair street fair in downtown Manteca typically draws nearly 40,000 people.

There are still 15 vendor booths left as of Wednesday for the street fair portion that is Oct. 3-4.

A commercial vendor booth for the two-day street fair that includes free entrainment is $380, commercial/information  booths are $250, while arts and crafts booths are $180. Non-profit fundraising booths are $150.

You can go to the website for vendor booth information.
