The seventh annual Agape Villages Foster Family Agency’s Golf Tournament sponsors are urging registrations for their Friday, Sept. 9, event scheduled at the Manteca Golf Course.

“Fairways Fore Foster Kids,” is this year’s theme that hopefully will see the near 125 golfers that participated in last year’s 18-hole competition.

Director Joann Beattie said that golfers “can make a difference in a child’s life” by supporting the Agape program through participation in the tournament.

Golf packages include a chance to win a vehicle from American Chevrolet and a motorcycle from the Eagle’s Nest Harley Davidson dealership in Lathrop. There will be prizes for longest drive, and the golfer who is closest to the pin in their drive.

Beattie said there will also be snacks and drinks on the course with a luncheon buffet at Chez Shari upstairs in the clubhouse. The donation for individual golfers is $90 and a foursome is set at $340.

Registration is set at 6:30 a.m. followed by the shotgun start an hour later. It is also possible to register online at www.agapevillages.org. All donations are tax deductible through the non-profit status of the organization.
