STOCKTON — The United States Air Force Concert Band of the Golden West will touch down in Stockton, Monday, April 16, 7 p.m., for an inspirational free concert at Delta College’s Atherton Auditorium.

The concert is free, but tickets are required, and will be available at the Delta College Center for the Arts Box Office, 5151 Pacific Ave, Stockton. There is a limit of six tickets per customer.

From Travis Air Force Base, The Band of the Golden West is a select group of professional Airmen-musicians who support the global Air Force mission by providing outstanding musical performances for military and community relations events. The band prides itself by fostering America’s rich national heritage.

The Band of the Golden West Concert Band is the largest ensemble within the organization, representing the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the Air Force. Touring the western states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada, the concert band performs a wide variety of music from standard concert band/wind ensemble literature, orchestral transcriptions and military marches, jazz and pop arrangements, to Broadway standards, and of course, patriotic music complete with instrumental soloists and featured vocalists. During the concert, you will hear stirring works from contemporary composers as well as the familiar sounds of John Philip Sousa and Major Glenn Miller. This diverse program will offer something for everyone, making it an excellent choice for family entertainment.
