Another Manteca resident is “coming on down” this morning on the popular game show, The Price is Right.

Annie Wong will have her chance to share the stage with game show host Drew Carey and spin the magic wheel that could win her a load of prices. Because of contractual obligations, however, The Price is Right is not divulging whether the contestant is a big winner or not on the show. But viewers will be able to find that out today when the program airs on the local TV station KOVR (Channel 13) starting at 10 a.m.

Barely a week ago – Tuesday last week to be exact – another Mantecan, Terri Candelaria who works at Food-4-Less Rancho San Miguel, was called to “come on down” at the longest-running game show in television history.

Prior to Candelaria’s appearance at 2008 Daytime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation show, the last big winner from Manteca at the game show was Lou George who is a resident at Woodbridge at Del Webb in Manteca. He appeared on the show show a few years ago when a group from the Del Webb community took a trip to Southern California. The day the show was aired, Del Webb hosted a party for the residents in the clubhouse where the program was shown on a wide-screen television with George’s family and friends sharing his big win.

Everyone is invited to watch a taping of the game show with the possibility of being selected as a contestant like George, Candelaria and now, Wong. They simply need to obtain a free ticket by logging on to http://www.cbs.com/daytime/thepriceisright/ for more information, or call the 24-hour ticket information line at (323) 575-2449.

The Price is Right is produced by FremantleMedia North America and is broadcast weekdays on the CBS Television Network.
