Brandon Bowers is a rising star

Manteca High graduate Brandon Bowers was selected as one of Editor & Publisher’s 25 Under 35 individuals that are profiled annually.

The trade magazine spotlights 25 individuals in the newspaper industry they deem rising stars.

Bowers is currently the editor of Today’s News Herald in Lake Havasu City where he is credited with increased emphasis on local news and sports coverage along with improving the newspaper’s digital reach.

Bowers started at the Manteca Bulletin as a newsroom clerk becoming a reporter. He worked as an editor at the Turlock Journal and then the Merced Sun Star before joining the Current-Argus News in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Bowers lives in Havasu with his wife, Amanda, and their three children, Aimee, Sophiamarie, and Noah.
