Have you lost some weight, Manteca?

CORE Performance’s Biggest Loser-style fitness challenge is living up to its promise.

Contestants lost nearly 205 pounds and 63.2 percent body fat in the first two weeks of the competition. Those totals did not include 13 people who were unable to make the bi-weekly weigh-in.

On Tuesday morning, CORE Performance announced its first weigh-in winners: Chase McKee, 4.3 percent body fat; Tina Borgeson, 4.3 percent; Alma Ochoa, 3.6 percent; Debbie Campiotti, 3.2 percent; Tommy Sandoval, 3.1 percent; Michael Keltner, 2.9 percent; Cheryl Behler, 2.9 percent; Jodie Estarziau, 2.7 percent; Dale Borgeson, 2.2 percent; and Stephanie Sandoval, 2 percent.

“We got some great results. People are committed,” said head trainer Robert Iniquez. “They’re definitely in it to win it. I’m pleased with where we’re headed.

“Now that they’re excited and seeing results and how much can be done in a short amount of time, I think it will only get better from here.”
