On a happier note, mark Sunday, Oct. 12, on your calendar for the ultimate car show. That’s when Pete Paulsen hosts his 25th annual Hot Rod Party.

The special guest this year is Cindy Williams of American Graffiti and Laverne & Shirley fame.

The car show complete with music, food, vendors, the Port City Roller Girls, and more are at Paulsen’s Ranch in French Camp. Early entry for cars prior to Oct. 1 is $25. After that it goes to $35.

General admission is $5 while those under 6 or over 66 are free.

This year’s event benefits the St. Joseph’s Cancer Center and the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.
