Homeless man creating safety hazard for cars
Placeholder Image

Several drivers have complained of late about the homeless gentleman who has set up shop at the East Yosemite Avenue entrance to the McDonald’s across from In-n-Out Burger. Their complaint? The mobile rack that he has parked at the driveway isn’t transparent creating a safety hazard.

Drivers say they can’t see oncoming traffic — and in  some cases pedestrians — as they try to exit Mickey D’s.

There is a solution as long as you call Manteca Police dispatch at 209.456.8163 and let them know that the rack on wheels — that is nearly six feet off the ground — is blocking your view of oncoming traffic.  If officers  are available they will be dispatched to tell him to move. Basically police need a citizen’s complaint in order to legally get the safety hazard moved.
