Manteca Unified board kingmaker?

Manteca Educators Association President Ken Johnson got a few laughs Tuesday at the Manteca Unified School District board meeting when he suggested that he’d come up with the money to help Don Scholl move back into Manteca.

Scholl is the incumbent that Alexander Bronson — then trustee who resigned this week after being charged with election fraud — defeated in the November election. Scholl has since moved out of the school district.

Johnson was likely joking considering the voters — who knew nothing about Bronson — made it clear they were not pleased with the sitting incumbents when they tossed both Scholl and Manuel Medeiros off the board. The MEA just happened to endorse Scholl and Mederios.
