Manteca resident Mike Dias was among 15,000 fans that paid $10 each to attend the Oakland A’s FanFest on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, who donned a Josh Donaldson jersey, told an Associated Press reporter that his loyalty to the A’s is “based on faith. It’s based on what’s inside you, and this is where or heart is, with the A’s.”

Dias said that he had green and gold pumped in his blood since he was a baby. He took in his first baseball game as an infant — during the 1989 World Series. There is no turning back for him.
