Matt Vaughn working as Reno TV news reporter

Matt Vaughn is on the air in Reno.

Vaughn, a 2005 Sierra High graduate, is working as a news reporter for Reno TV station KOLO Channel 8. He started in June after working for four years at Chico TV station KTSL Channel 12 where he was also a reporter.

Vaughn is a former Manteca City Ambassador. He’s been involved as an on-air master of ceremonies for the Boys & Girls Club Telethon for the past 11 years. His work schedule doesn’t permit him a chance to volunteer again this year although his mother Yoli Vaughn is in charge of the entertainment.

Vaughn isn’t the only Sierra High grad from the Class of 2005 working in media in the Reno area. Michelle Rindels starts her stint as the Associated Press capitol reporter in Carson City this month.
