The Manteca Educators Association leadership is distributing material to its members essentially saying recalling trustee Ashley Drain — and possibly Sam Fant — is essential to get a salary increase from the Manteca Unified School District board.

The flyer distributed to teachers reads, “Manteca educators deserve a FAIR CONTRACT! I am willing to do the following to help get it:”

The first item with a check box reads, “I will work on the recall effort.”

Other check boxes include writing letters and postcards and/or make calls to school board members, wear a red shirt on Tuesdays to show unity, or picketing school, sites  and school board meetings.

One box also reads, “I do not want a strike, but I will.”
