The Manteca Unified School District superintendent is on the road again. This time he is in Florida speaking at the Microsoft in Education Global Forum on the tech company’s partnership with the school district through the Going Digital project costing taxpayers $30 million.

Interesting to know who is picking up his expenses for the Miami trip: Taxpayers or a school district vendor? It would seem inappropriate for a company benefitting from a contract awarded by the school district so perhaps it’s the taxpayers. And using tax dollars when there are pressing education needs wouldn’t be smart. So one hopes he’s paying for the trip on his own dime or using bitcoins.
