Crews are putting the finishing touches on an entrance arch across Stewart Road just off of Manthey Road in Lathrop. The arch reads “River Islands” and includes nautical style lights.

Stewart Road will serve as the main entrance to River Islands at Lathrop until such time enough homes are built to justify completing a road system that connects to a bridge already in place across the San Joaquin River.

The first homes are expected to be built in early 2014.
