Nosey neighbors help foil burglary

Residents in the 1300 block of Pajaro Street, just south of Northgate Drive, on Monday called Manteca Police about suspected burglars across the street from their residences.  They reported seeing one man walk up to the front door and knock to apparently see if anyone was home while the other quickly went around to the rear of the home, they said.

Officers arrived within a few short minutes and detained the two before anything was disturbed at the home by their apparent trespassing.

It’s a perfect example of the importance of nosey neighbors and not being hesitant about calling 911 when something looks amiss in your neighborhoods.  It’s really important for neighbors to call police at their earliest suspicions as it takes only minutes for daytime burglars to get in and out of a home with priceless possessions.
