Ripon water forum Wednesday

A special forum on water use and availability in Ripon is being staged by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce at the city hall council chambers on  Wilma Avenue on Wednesday, July 16, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Water experts from the city, county, state and the South San Joaquin Irrigation District will discuss aspects of California’s drought, groundwater challenges and local water restrictions that have been imposed on Ripon.

A panel of experts will include Jeff Shields of the SSJID; County Supervisor Ken Vogel; Brandon Nakagawa, water resource manager for the county; and Ted Johnston, Ripon city public works director.
