What does Tony Amador have to do with the Manteca mayoral race?

Robocalls originating from Beverly Hills conducting an automated phone survey this week ended with the notation that the effort was being paid for by the Tony Amador for Congress campaign.

Amador is a Republican running against Jerry McNerney to represent Stockton, Lodi and Lathrop — but not Manteca — in Congress.

The questions asked ran the gamut from would you vote for a councilman with 11 years of experience in elected office for mayor or a 20-year plus former city employee with no experience in elected office to whether your views of Steve DeBrum and Ben Cantu were positive or negative.
