Tracy rolls out Ornament Stroll on Nov. 15

Tracy’s downtown does a Herculean job of finding ways to get folks to visit the community’s central business district.

The latest is the first ever Ornament Stroll on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. in downtown Tracy.

Event organizer Anna Craig, who is the owner of Mia Bella’s Boutique, brought the idea to the Tracy City Center Association earlier this year as a way to celebrate the holidays with the community and promote Downtown Tracy. The first-time event has already sold out of tickets and is planning to increase the amount of tickets available next year from 250 to 500 due to the overwhelming response from the community. Ornament strollers paid $25 a ticket to go door to door to over 20 downtown merchants. Each participating merchant will have a different ornament to give out, and will also provide treats and refreshments for guests to enjoy.

In addition to stores being decorated for the holidays and offering specials to encourage early holiday shopping, there will also be free horse drawn carriage rides for the public to enjoy.
