Veterans services now in Manteca

Manteca Councilman Richard Silverman passed on some good news for veterans.

American Legion Post 249, commanded by Jim Winston, has made arrangements for regular hours in Manteca by the county’s Veterans Service Office (VSO).  A representative from the VSO will be on hand on the first Wednesday of each month at the American Legion Hall in the 200 block of East Yosemite Avenue next to the PG&E office, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The VSO can begin the process to get verification of a veteran’s status and with that status verified, can issue, on the spot, a Veteran photo-ID card, plus make all of the services of the VSO available.
