Author Quinones visits Delta College

STOCKTON — Delta College’s Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) presents celebrated author/journalist Sam Quinones, author of the ground breaking novel: “Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream, Stories of Immigration” this Wednesday and Thursday.

The focus of his presentation will be: Telling your True Tales: An Experiment in Storytelling. Quinones’ motivational presentation will take place Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. until noon and Thursday, Oct. 4, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Goleman Library Reading Room. He will speak again Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30p.m. in the Atherton Auditorium. A book-signing will follow the program.

Admission is free.

Quinones is a former Delta College student who currently works for the Los Angeles Times. One of his goals is to inspire high school and college students to write their “true tales.”
