One of the most comprehensive displays of native California amphibians and reptiles is coming next month to Manteca’s Bass Pro Shop.

Located at 1356 Bass Pro Drive, the presentation featuring several guest speakers will take place in the Conservation Room from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Included are Brian Hubbs, author of several books on herpetology – he’ll speak on “King snakes of the U.S.” – and DVM Jeffrey Kahler, who will give his talk on “Healthy Herps.”

Chad Lane and Ricky Ortiz will speak on “Photographing Herps.”

And Herb Ashton will give his presentation on “Snake Superstition and Myths.”

The living display consisting of over 70 native species is made possible by the Weston Ranch High Amphibian and Reptile Club.
